Job summary

Performance Food Group in Oak Creek, WI is seeking a Shuttle Driver to transport empty trailers to the warehouse and deliver full trailers to domicile/shuttle yards. You will operate tandem/tractor/semi trucks across intrastate and interstate routes, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with DOT rules while maintaining professional interaction with customers and coworkers.

The role requires a valid CDL A with Doubles endorsement, 12 months of driving experience, a clean MVR, and a willingness

Qualifications

• 12 months of commercial driving experience
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement
• Clean MVR for past 3 years
• DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks pre/post trip and ensure tractor/truck and trailer meet DOT safety standards
• Report safety issues and repairs
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety guidelines; report hazards
• Inspect trailer for proper loading and securing of freight
• Manage route paperwork and dispatch readiness
• Drive and deliver trailers according to schedule
• Perform hook/unhook procedures safely
• Park, store and secure tractor trailers
• Collect damaged goods and returns; complete paperwork
• Maintain log of hours of service per regulations
• Keep equipment and loading areas clean and safe
• Perform additional duties as assigned
