Job summary

TerraBella Senior Living in Cary is seeking a Care/Medication Technician for the 11PM–7AM shift to provide hands-on care in a home-like setting. You will monitor residents, assist with daily activities, and respond to calls promptly, ensuring safety and comfort.

The role emphasizes supporting independence, maintaining dignity, and collaborating with nurses and coordinators on care plans, with prior senior care experience and CNA preferred.

Qualifications

• CNA certification preferred.
• High School diploma/GED or equivalent required.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• CPR certification preferred.
• First Aid certification preferred.
• Previous experience working with seniors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for a designated group of residents during the shift; monitors residents and checks on them throughout the shift.
• Observes, reports and documents symptoms and conditions of residents for changes in condition such as skin, behavior, alertness, weight, dietary and participation in activities.
• Responds to resident call bells promptly and notifies supervisor if care needs increase.
• Assists with continence management and disposal of products to ensure sanitation of resident areas.
• Serves and collects food trays and assists as needed; reports refusals or loss of appetite.
• Maintains cleanliness of resident rooms and work areas; follows standard care precautions.
• Helps residents maintain independence and dignity; assists with activities of daily living.
• Engages residents in life skills and other enrichment activities; assists in daily routines.
• Greets and assists all internal and external customers, residents, family members, vendors and team members.
• Performs resident laundry as assigned.
