Job summary

RRD Company in Minnesota is seeking a Material Handler 1 for Bindery on a rotating 12-hour day shift (7:00 AM–7:00 PM). This full-time role supports material movement, stacking, labeling, and basic machine tasks in the bindery and mailing departments.

The position requires reading work orders, stocking, counting, signing, and ensuring accurate tracking on production sheets. You will use manual tools and may occasionally operate banding and related equipment to maintain workflow.

Qualifications

• Reads work orders or follows verbal instructions to ascertain materials or components.
• Responsible for laying up, feeding or piling down materials at equipment.
• Counts, weighs, and records units moved on daily production sheet.
• Completes skid flags and packaging slips for accurate tracking.
• Operates manual tools and occasionally banding/strapping equipment.
• Attaches labels and signatures to materials as required.

Responsibilities

• Feed, stock, move, jog, and arrange items on/off bindery equipment.
• Support bindery finishing tasks to ensure smooth production flow.
• Maintain basic knowledge of warehouse layout and stock locations.
• Ensure proper labeling, stock description, and quantity reporting.
• Utilize banding tools to secure bundles for transport.
