Job summary

Hickory House Recovery is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician for the 3rd shift (11pm–7am) on-site in Town of Greenfield, NY. You will bridge clients and clinical staff, supporting the person-centered treatment plan and ensuring proper documentation.

Strong communication, reliability, and flexibility, including weekends and holidays, are essential. A valid driver's license and own transportation are required to support client needs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Ability to learn quickly, multitask, and communicate effectively in person and on the phone.
• Positive demeanor with professional boundaries.
• Ability to follow directives and adhere to policies with reliability.
• Scheduling flexibility including weekends and holidays is required.
• Must have valid driver's license and own insured transportation.
• Dependability and punctuality essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintains HIPAA-compliant communication regarding clients in treatment.
• Engages with clients daily and supports implementation of the treatment plan.
• Facilitates educational groups for recovery and relapse.
• Assists with residential treatment activities.
• Ensures medication dispensing per physician and EMR schedule with documentation.
• Documents engagements in EMR with concise notes.
• Ensures attendance in all sessions and approved outside meetings.
• Maintains confidentiality of client information and records.
• Attends staff meetings and trainings as directed.
• Maintains the facility's cleanliness and order; reports needed repairs.
• Follows all processes and procedures in the Behavioral Health Manual.
