Job summary

Hickory House Recovery is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician for the 3rd shift (11pm–7am) to be a vital part of the treatment team in a residential setting. The role focuses on bridging clients with clinical and medical staff and ensuring person-centered treatment plans are carried out with care.

YOU will monitor, document, and support daily treatment activities, lead recovery education groups, and assist with medication dispensing per physician directions while maintaining strict HIPAA

Qualifications

• Minimum requirement: High School diploma or GED.
• Ability to learn quickly, multi-task, and communicate effectively both by phone and in person.
• Positive demeanor with clear professional boundaries with clients.
• Ability to follow directives, adhere to policies, and manage time efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Maintain HIPAA compliant communications about clients.
• Engage with clients daily to support treatment plan implementation.
• Facilitate educational groups for recovery and relapse prevention.
• Support clients in residential treatment settings.
• Assist with medication dispensing per physician schedule and EMR documentation.
• Accurately document engagements in the EMR with concise notes.
• Ensure client attendance in sessions and approved outside meetings.
• Maintain client confidentiality and professional boundaries.
• Participate in staff meetings and trainings as directed.
• Assist with maintaining cleanliness and order of the facility.
• Inspect property and report needed repairs as directed by supervisor.
• Follow all procedures in the Behavioral Health Procedural Manual.
