Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health in Jersey City, NJ seeks a Bed Board Associate in the Logistics department to manage patient bed placements and support continuous throughput. Night shift, hourly position with per diem flexibility.

You will collaborate with physicians and clinical teams to ensure timely discharges, optimize bed usage, and maintain accurate bed board records using EPIC and other systems. A High School diploma and health-care clerical exposure are preferred, along with proficiency in Microsoft

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferably one clerical experience in health care.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
• Familiarity with office equipment such as copiers and fax machines.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Place patients in appropriate beds and coordinate with clinical leadership for throughput.
• Maximize bed utilization and optimize inpatient bed resources.
• Maintain bed board system accuracy and reconcile daily bed assignments.
• Track bed status and isolation room availability using the bed tracking system.
• Review assigned patients to ensure timely movement and resolve delays.
