Job summary

Coma Coffee Roasters is seeking a front desk associate to warmly welcome hotel guests, register and assign rooms, verify IDs and issue keys. You will transmit and receive messages, balance accounts, and assist guests with check-in and check-out using the computer system.

You will respond to inquiries about hotel services and local dining, entertainment and activities, while coordinating with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure rooms are ready and properly serviced.

Responsibilities

• Accommodating hotel guests by registering and assigning rooms
• Verifying guest identification
• Issuing room keys
• Transmitting and receiving messages
• Keeping records of occupied rooms and guests’ accounts
• Presenting statements to and collect payments from departing guests
• Answering calls and connecting callers to the appropriate extensions
• Use of the computer system to assist the hotel guests at check-in and check-out
• Keeping records of room availability along with making and confirming reservations
• Answering inquiries pertaining to hotel services, shopping, dining, entertainment and any other activity connected with the hotel or area
• Advising housekeeping staff when rooms have been vacated and are ready for cleaning
• Contacting housekeeping or maintenance staff when guests report problems
• Performing simple bookkeeping activities, such as balancing cash accounts
• Recording of guest comments or complaints and refering guest to supervisor if needed
