Job summary

Moxy South Beach is seeking a charismatic Front Desk Agent / Night Auditor to welcome guests, manage check-ins/outs, and balance overnight financials. This dual-role supports guest experiences during overnight hours, ensuring smooth hotel operations and accurate accounting.

The role requires strong guest service skills, independence, and the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Training and advancement opportunities are available within a growing TEAM.

Qualifications

• Prior front desk, hotel, night audit, or hospitality experience preferred; willing to train the right customer service professional looking to grow their career.
• Prior night audit or accounting experience is a plus
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication and listening skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly with financial transactions and reports
• Comfortable working independently during overnight hours
• Experience with hotel platforms such as OnQ, Opera, Fosse, Lightspeed, HotSOS, GXP, BOB, Kipsu, Slack is beneficial
• Spanish language skills highly desired

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests with a warm, friendly, and professional demeanor
• Complete guest check-in and check-out accurately and efficiently
• Verify reservations, guest information, payment methods, and room assignments
• Issue and manage guest room keys
• Answer guest questions and provide information about hotel amenities, services, and local attractions
• Respond to guest requests, concerns, and service issues in a professional and timely manner
• Assist with reservations, cancellations, modifications, and other guest requests
• Maintain accurate guest records and protect guest privacy
• Communicate effectively with housekeeping, maintenance, management, and other hotel departments
• Monitor the lobby and front desk area to ensure a welcoming and secure environment
• Follow all hotel standards, brand standards, safety procedures, and guest service guidelines
• Complete the overnight audit process accurately and according to hotel procedures
• Balance daily room revenue, payments, deposits, and other financial transactions
• Review and reconcile guest accounts and hotel reports
• Verify and post room charges and other applicable transactions
• Prepare daily financial and operational reports for management
• Identify and resolve discrepancies or escalated them to the appropriate manager
• Complete end-of-day procedures and ensure the hotel system is properly rolled over
• Prepare the front desk and hotel for the following business day
• Maintain accurate records and documentation
• Perform routine overnight front desk and administrative duties
• Assist with light lobby and public-area upkeep as needed
• Monitor hotel activity during overnight hours and follow established safety and security procedures
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and guest needs and contact management or emergency services when necessary
