This position requires 2-3 shifts a week as a Night Auditor and 2-3 shifts a week as a Front Desk Agent.

Job Overview

Audit, balance, and report on various hotel areas (food and beverage outlets, rooms/front desk, gift shop, etc.) to ensure accuracy, adherence to policies, and fraud prevention. Respond professionally and courteously to guests, providing timely information and services. Handle inquiries regarding reservations, hotel info, and guest concerns.

Responsibilities

  • Audit, balance, and report on all food and beverage outlets' cash and credit operations, including checks, deposits, house charges, and postings, ensuring accuracy and proper register resets.
  • Audit, balance, post, and report on front desk operations, including room charges, phone calls, folios, corrections, and deposits, verifying cash handling procedures.
  • Audit, balance, and prepare room information and statistics, generating daily reports.
  • Balance and close bank ticket codes daily.
  • Run night audit final after ensuring all revenues are balanced.
  • Greet guests and complete check-in procedures manually and via computer to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Assist with guest check-out, closing accounts, and preparing rooms for next guests.
  • Maintain good customer relations by staying informed about hotel and area events to answer questions promptly, in person and by phone.
  • Operate PBX equipment for calls, wake-up services, and paging.
  • Perform duties of a Front Desk Clerk, including express checkouts.

Qualifications

  • Education/Training: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Accounting background preferred but not required.
  • Skills: Proficient in PC, cash register, calculator; good at facts and figures; excellent guest communication; moderate hearing; good vision; strong verbal and written skills.

Physical Demands

  • 90% standing, frequent bending/kneeling, reaching, and mobility around the hotel.
  • Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Prolonged standing in climate-controlled environment.
