Job description

Opportunity: Night Auditor

Balance revenue and settle accounts nightly, maintain files, and reset the system for the next day of operations while performing Guest Service Agent tasks and duties.

Potential career advancement includes roles such as Front Office Supervisor, Accounts Payable or Receivable Clerk, leading up to Front Office Manager.

Your Focus

1. Perform bookkeeping activities, such as balancing accounts and conducting nightly audits.
2. Keep records of room availability and guests' accounts, manually or using computers.
3. Prepare and distribute daily reports.
4. Audit and reconcile cashiers.
5. Audit, reconcile, consolidate, and transmit all credit card transactions promptly.
6. Input and update financial information into the BRAINS network.
7. Check guests in/out and perform Guest Service Agent duties.
8. Respond to guest inquiries and resolve complaints effectively.
9. Monitor guest satisfaction scores and work towards improving departmental and overall guest satisfaction.
10. Practice safe work habits and wear protective safety equipment.
11. Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
12. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Your Background and Skills

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous night audit or accounting experience, or equivalent training, required.
• Proficiency in computer use, especially Excel, and good arithmetic skills required.
• FSD certification is a plus; required within 90 days of employment.

Work Environment and Context

• Work schedule may vary and include holidays and weekends.
• Requires standing for extended periods, walking, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending, and reaching.
