Job summary

Peachtree Group is seeking a Night Auditor to perform nightly audit duties while delivering guest service at the hotel front desk. You will balance cash, process registrations, and generate nightly reports, assisting guests with check-ins, check-outs, and reservations.

The role requires accuracy, strong communication with Front Office staff, and collaboration with hotel departments to ensure security and high service standards. This is a full-time, on-site position in Rockwall, Texas.

Responsibilities

• Greet, register, and assign rooms to guests.
• Process guest registrations, including collecting payment.
• Prepare express checkout folios and maintain room status inventory.
• Balance cash and maintain the cash drawer accuracy at shift start and end.
• Complete required shift paperwork and night audit reports daily.
• Communicate shift information to Front Office Manager and other staff.
• Answer guest questions and assist with services, directions, and bookings.
• Maintain lobby and public areas and ensure security and safety.

Job description

The Night Auditor is responsible for conduct all nightly audit-related duties while providing guest service at the hotel's front desk. Audit responsibilities balancing duties, daily paperwork, and shift reports. While completing these duties, the Night Auditor will attend to guest needs such as guest check-in/check-outs, making reservations, and answering guest questions

• Proactive thinking, keeping guest security always in mind, and creating a safe, clean, and friendly work environment.
• Responsible for counting cash and maintaining the accuracy of the issued cash drawer at the beginning and end of each scheduled shift.
• Check the front desk log for problems, special requests, etc.
• Greets, registers, and assigns rooms to guests.
• Process guest registrations, including collecting payment.
• Prepare express checkout folios.
• Maintain room status inventory.
• Communicate all pertinent shift information to Front Office Manager, General Manager, and other desk staff.
• Maintain and clean the lobby and bathroom as needed.
• Communicates all information to the following shift to ensure a smooth transition.
• Works closely with all hotel departments to ensure the highest quality of customer service.
• Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel services; registration of guests; and shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions. Explains in-room and hotel features.
• Responsible for completing all required shift paperwork, and night audit reports daily.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.
