Job summary

Peachtree Group is seeking a Night Auditor to complete nightly audit functions while delivering exceptional guest service at the hotel’s front desk. The role supports check-ins/check-outs, processes reservations, and responds to guest inquiries during the overnight shift.

The position is based in Las Cruces, New Mexico. The Night Auditor will count cash, verify drawers, check logs, greet and register guests, and handle registrations and payments.

Responsibilities

• Proactive thinking, keeping guest security in mind, creating a safe, clean, and friendly environment.
• Count cash and maintain accuracy of the cash drawer at the start and end of each shift.
• Check the front desk log for problems or special requests.
• Greet, register, and assign rooms to guests.
• Process guest registrations, including collecting payment.
• Prepare express checkout folios.
• Maintain room status inventory.
• Communicate shift information to Front Office Manager, General Manager, and desk staff.
• Maintain and clean the lobby and bathroom as needed.
• Relay information to the following shift for smooth transitions.
• Collaborate with hotel departments to ensure high customer service quality.
• Respond to inquiries about hotel services and directions, and explain in-room features.
• Complete all required shift paperwork and night audit reports daily.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job description

Night Auditor is responsible for completing all nightly audit functions while delivering exceptional guest service at the hotel’s front desk. While performing audit duties, the Night Auditor also assists guests with check-ins and check-outs, processes reservations, and responds to guest inquiries, ensuring a high level of service throughout the overnight shift.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for counting cash and maintaining the accuracy of the issued cash drawer at the beginning and end of each scheduled shift.
• Check the front desk log for problems, special requests, etc.
• Greets, registers, and assigns rooms to guests.
• Process guest registrations, including collecting payment.
• Prepare express checkout folios.
• Maintain room status inventory.
• Communicate all pertinent shift information to Front Office Manager, General Manager, and other desk staff.
• Maintain and clean the lobby and bathroom as needed.
• Communicates all information to the following shift to ensure a smooth transition.
• Works closely with all hotel departments to ensure the highest quality of customer service.
• Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel services; registration of guests; and shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions. Explains in-room and hotel features.
• Responsible for completing all required shift paperwork, and night audit reports daily.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.
