Job summary

Fairfield Inn Huntsville is seeking a Night Auditor to join our team. The role involves checking guests in/out, balancing daily close, handling reservations, and cash/drawer duties while maintaining a clean lobby and front desk area.

Candidates with hotel experience and the ability to learn the Property Management System will fit well in this fast-paced environment. This is a full-time on-site position with opportunities during the night shift.

Qualifications

• Prior hotel experience a plus.
• Must have the ability to learn and be proficient in the Property Management System of the hotel.

Responsibilities

• Checks guests in and out in a cheerful, friendly manner, maintaining efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with legal requirements and company standards
• Ensures accurate processing of charges and completes/balances close of day procedures with full handover to next shift
• Takes and records reservations accurately and confirms as requested; knows status of reservations on a daily and future basis
• Observes safe cash handling procedures required by brand and company policy and is responsible for the cash drawer, cash, and credit card information transactions for their shift
• Completes all company and brand required closing of daily books and credit card batch
• Reviews all daily sales for any issues, high balance accounts or comp rooms and alerts the General Manager as needed
• Enters all sales and revenue data into company accounting system
• Sets up/maintains fresh coffee in the lobby area. Helps keep the area stocked, clean, and organized
• Maintains a clean and organized lobby and front desk area
• Sets up and opens the continental breakfast for breakfast personnel
