A Night Auditor is primarily responsible for auditing, balancing, and reporting on various areas of the hotel (e.g., food & beverage outlets, rooms/front desk, gift shop) to provide accurate, timely information, ensure PAH and hotel policies are followed, and prevent fraud.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

1. Audit, balance, and report on all food and beverage outlets' cash and credit operations, including checks, over/short figures, deposits, counts, house charges, promotional materials, postings, etc., and reset registers for accuracy.
2. Audit, balance, post, and report on the front desk, including room charges, phone calls, zero balance folios, corrections, adjustments, taxes, disputed charges, over/short figures, deposits, etc., ensuring accuracy and proper cash handling.
3. Audit, balance, prepare, verify, and report on room information to provide management with performance insights.
4. Prepare and input statistics and income journal sheets for daily reports.
5. Balance and close all bank ticket codes daily.
6. Run night audit final after ensuring all revenues are balanced nightly.
7. Perform duties of a Front Desk Clerk, including express checkouts.

Education & Experience

1. High School diploma or equivalent.
2. Accounting background preferred but not required.
3. Ability to operate a PC, cash register, and calculator.
4. Ability to compile facts and figures.
5. Good telephone and guest relations skills.

Physical Requirements

1. Ability to lift files/papers up to 5 lbs. 50% of the time; may lift luggage up to 50 lbs.
2. Mobility to move between the front desk, PBX, accounting, and other hotel areas, 15-20% of the time.
3. No continuous standing, climbing, or driving required.
