Job description

Night Auditor at Tamarack Resort

The Night Auditor at Tamarack Resort is responsible for overseeing front desk duties during the night shift. Their duties include guest check-in and check-out, reviewing guest payments and other details from the day shift to ensure proper billing, and acting as a communication point for customer needs. The right candidate must possess exceptional computer skills, and strong verbal and written communication skills to maintain effective department organization. This position is onsite, requires night shifts, and work on weekends and holidays.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform Night Audit
  • Generate and review Daily Operation Reports
  • Manage bar inventories, place bar food and drink orders, and restock the bar each night
  • Maintain a service log to track efficiency and project completion times
  • Provide receipts and invoices to management promptly
  • Coordinate with maintenance and Tamarack Management Association (TMA)
  • Handle stressful situations calmly and professionally
  • Prepare lodging packets for the next day's arrivals
  • Inspect all lodge floors every two hours
  • Stay informed about all resort services and functions
  • Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed

Education and Experience

Requires knowledge of computer hardware, word processing, spreadsheets, and databases. Experience with Microsoft Office is preferred. Knowledge of business correspondence, office procedures, and common office equipment is essential.

  • At least 2 years of college education
  • Minimum of 2 years of hotel or property management experience on the front desk
  • Sales experience is a plus but not required
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations

Must possess a valid Driver’s License with a driving record meeting the standards of the resort’s insurance carrier.

Language Skills

Ability to interpret financial reports and legal documents. Capable of responding effectively to inquiries or complaints from guests, staff, or business partners. Must be able to present information clearly.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to identify problems, gather data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Physical Demands

The physical requirements for this role include:

  • Lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying a minimum of 15 lbs
