Job summary

AC Hotel Chicago Downtown seeks a Night Auditor to greet guests, assist with check-in and check-out, and maintain a calm, professional presence during the overnight shift.

You will audit daily revenue, run front office reports, handle reservations and inquiries in hotel systems, and ensure accurate cash handling while delivering personalized service and local knowledge.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in guest/customer service.
• Ability to work independently and handle pressure.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Ability to use computer systems to input information.
• Availability to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

If so, AC Hotel Chicago Downtown is looking for a Nigh Audit to be a part of our team. As a Night Auditor you will greet our guests and welcome them to return for future stays, while providing them with prompt and courteous service. What will you be doing?

• Deliver exceptional guest experiences from check-in to checkout
• Masterfully handle reservations, inquiries, and complaints using hotel systems.
• Prepare daily restaurant revenue report data by auditing Micros tapes/journals to break down revenue, covers, and servers' fees, tips paid out settlements by tape and cashier.
• Run audit reports/journals from the Front Office mainframe, the micros computer, and Credit Card system.
• Make corrections and adjustments and handle all computer problems that might occur throughout shift.
• Input on the PC revenue, expenses, allowances to generate the daily reports such as the Guest Ledger summary and Daily restaurant summary.
• Maintain composure and professionalism under pressure, resolving guest issues effectively.
• Build strong guest relationships through personalized service and local knowledge.
• Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, both in-person and on the phone.
• Accurately manage financial transactions and maintain cash handling responsibilities.
• Effectively multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Contribute to overall hotel operations by performing various administrative duties.
• Balance all revenue and settlement accounts nightly and maintain files-reset the system for next day operations.

What do you bring to the role?

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior work experience in a guest/customer service position required, preferably within the hospitality industry.
• Able to work independently, has good judgment, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to read, listen, and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills are required.
• Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system.
• Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergencies.
• Must be able to work a varied schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and the ability to work under pressure.
