Primary Responsibilities
- Review all guaranteed arrivals and verify that all credit cards are valid by running numbers that they are not already in house.
- Ensure that rooms (day use) are listed in the computer as dirty to facilitate housekeeping.
- Explain and provide promotional items to each guest checking in.
- Explain hotel amenities such as free breakfast, spa, fitness center, voice mail, etc., to guests.
- Document new commercial customers checking in for potential account creation.
- Inquire about blocked rooms and coordinate with maintenance to resolve issues.
- Ensure rollaway beds and cribs are correctly recorded in the computer.
- Respond promptly to guest inquiries or complaints and offer alternative solutions if needed.
- Cover other hotel areas as required.
- Document guest accidents with an accident report form.
- Complete maintenance logs for reported complaints.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all front desk areas.
- Greet guests warmly and proactively.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
