Why We Need Your Talents

Check in/check out hotel guests courteously and efficiently, providing service levels expected in a four-star property. Process all payments according to established hotel requirements. Provide information to guest or visitor inquiries. Work as part of the Front Office team to ensure a seamless guest experience. Check front office accounting records for accuracy, summarize, and compile information for the hotel's financial records daily. Track room revenue, occupancy percentages, and other front office operating statistics. Prepare a summary of cash, check, and credit card activities reflecting the hotel's daily financial performance. Post room charges and taxes to guest accounts, including transactions not posted during the day by the front office cashier.

  • Maintain knowledge and comply with all hotel and departmental policies and procedures, including front and back of house operations.
  • Post charges to guest accounts not yet posted or incurred during the night audit shift.
  • Transfer charges and deposits to master accounts.
  • Ensure charges are assigned to appropriate departments.
  • Verify all front desk transactions are supported by documentation and signatures, correctly posted and allocated.
  • Track room revenues, occupancy, check figures, postings, and documents for accuracy. Record, store, access, and analyze financial information. Prepare End of Day procedures following the Night Audit Checklist. Assist PBX with switchboard duties.

Responsibilities

Maintain comprehensive knowledge of hotel features, services, room types, rates, promotions, house count, arrivals/departures, room availability, and scheduled activities.

  • Ensure all policies and procedures are followed.
  • Post and transfer charges as needed.
  • Verify transaction support and accuracy.
  • Monitor and analyze financial and operational statistics.
Qualifications

Skills required include excellent communication, data entry, guest inquiry handling, confidentiality, and ability to work under pressure. Must be able to work cohesively with a team.

  • High school diploma or GED; retail customer service experience is a plus.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a hotel or high-end retail environment.
  • Ability to comply with state gaming regulations, possibly requiring a license.
