The Higgins Hotel in New Orleans seeks a Night Audit Supervisor to oversee nightly financial operations and guest services. You will ensure accurate reports, balance accounts, and coordinate with other departments to maintain smooth overnight operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; further education in accounting or hospitality is a plus.
• 6+ months front desk experience or similar.
• Previous night audit experience or similar role preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and math skills.
• Proficiency with hotel PMS and accounting software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and lead a team.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and oversee the night audit team to ensure timely completion of financial processes and reports.
• Conduct night audit procedures, balancing accounts, verifying charges, and reconciling discrepancies.
• Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints professionally and promptly.
• Monitor adherence to hotel policies and procedures during the night shift.
• Collaborate with housekeeping and security to ensure smooth night operations.
• Provide exceptional guest service, anticipating needs and exceeding expectations.
• Train and mentor night audit team members and support new processes and technologies.

About Our Property

The Higgins Hotel & Conference Center's name reflects the contributions of the extraordinary entrepreneur, Andrew Higgins, who designed and built over 20,000 boats in New Orleans that were used in every major amphibious assault of World War II. Responsibilities

• Supervise and oversee the night audit team to ensure accurate and timely completion of financial processes and reports.


• Conduct night audit procedures, including balancing accounts, verifying charges, and reconciling discrepancies.


• Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints in a professional and timely manner.


• Monitor and ensure adherence to hotel policies and procedures during the night shift.


• Collaborate with other departments, such as housekeeping and security, to ensure smooth operations during the night.


• Provide exceptional guest service, anticipating needs and exceeding expectations.


• Train and mentor night audit team members, providing guidance and support.


• Assist in the implementation of new processes and technologies to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in accounting or hospitality is a plus.


• 6+ months Front Desk experience.


• Previous experience in a night audit role or similar position is preferred.


• Strong attention to detail and excellent mathematical skills.


• Proficiency in hotel property management systems and accounting software.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
