Job summary

21c Museum Hotels is seeking a Night Audit/Front Desk professional to verify daily hotel operations, balance cash and credit transactions, and generate reports for management. You will also assist with check-ins, check-outs, and guest inquiries, contributing to a smooth 3rd-shift experience.

The role requires strong numeric skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work across hotel areas. A background check is required, with a high school level education or equivalent preferred.

Qualifications

• Accounting background preferred but not required.
• Ability to operate a personal computer, cash register, and calculator.
• Ability to compile facts and figures.
• Telephone and guest relations etiquette and skills.
• Moderate hearing is required to communicate with guests.
• Excellent vision for viewing computer screens.
• Excellent speech communication skills.
• Ability to lift files/papers to 5 lbs. 50% of the time; may lift luggage to 50 lbs.
• Mobility between the front desk, PBX accounting, and other areas 15-20% of the time.
• Must pass a background check.
• High school education or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Audit, balance, and report on all food and beverage outlets cash and credit operations.
• Audit, balance, post, and report on the front desk and related charges.
• Audit, balance, prepare room information and daily statistics.
• Balance and close all bank ticket codes and run night audit final.
• Perform the duties of a Front Desk Agent/Bellman including check-ins/outs.
• Compile guest email addresses for comment cards and market research.
• Track guest issues in a master Guest Response Log and share a Flash Report.
• Provide basic supervision of 3rd shift staff and attend quarterly meetings.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
