Job summary

101 Riverside Hospital, Inc. is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (APP) for the night shift at Riverside Thoracic & Cardiovascular Surgery in Newport News, VA. Responsibilities include pre-operative evaluations, assisting in surgeries, and managing patient care.

Qualifications

• Nurse Practitioner with valid Virginia license or Physician Assistant.
• Current BCLS and ACLS certification required.
• Experience with ventilator and circulatory support devices is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-operative evaluations for cardiothoracic surgery.
• Assist in cardiac and thoracic surgery.
• Manage postoperative care of cardiothoracic patients.

Skills

Independent clinical decision-making

Excellent communication skills

Experience in diagnosing and treating medical conditions

Ability to perform point-of-care ultrasound

Education

Master's in Nursing or equivalent

N.P. or P.A. license
