Arnot Health is seeking a Unit Coordinator for the NICU at Arnot Ogden Medical Center to coordinate unit activities and report to the department director.

The role includes managing supplies, initiating charges, negotiating with vendors, coordinating repairs, arranging in-service training, and scheduling room usage to support patient care. A high school diploma is required; an AAS in Secretarial Science and experience with medical terminology and basic accounting are preferred.

Competenze

• High school diploma required or equivalent experience.
• AAS in Secretarial Science preferred.
• Medical Terminology experience desirable.
• Basic accounting skills helpful for unit operations.

Mansioni

• Develops appropriate par levels of supplies and special order items with unit staff to maintain optimal unit efficiency.
• Initiates charges for new patient care items and procedures, collaborating with finance to ensure accuracy of charges.
• Researches suppliers and vendors to maintain quality of care while negotiating prices; coordinates and maintains records of unit purchasing.
• Coordinates repairs and replacement needs for the unit with manufacturers, vendor reps, clinical engineering and facility engineering.
• Arranges in-service training for new procedures/equipment with unit director, staff development coordinator, and clinical nurse specialist.
• Coordinates room availability for meetings and in-services for the unit.
