St. David’s North Austin Medical Center is seeking a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) to assess infants, develop plans of care, and implement and evaluate care in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

The role includes delivering and stabilizing neonates, coordinating discharge plans, administering medications, and supporting families with homecare information. RN licensure in Texas and BLS/NRP certifications are required, with RNC-NIC preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year of clinical nursing experience as an RN.
• Experience in an acute care setting is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Attend deliveries and perform neonatal stabilization and admission assessments.
• Create and revise the plan of care including discharge planning.
• Conduct ongoing infant assessments and communicate changes to NP/Neonatologist.
• Administer medications and complete treatments per policy.
• Assist transport teams in stabilization and document transfer support.
• Provide family education materials on homecare, treatments, and support groups.
• Assist in high-risk deliveries and resuscitation with NP.
• Delegate tasks to non-licensed staff per standards.
