Frederick Health Hospital, Inc. seeks a full-time Registered Nurse for its Level III NICU. The role covers Day Shift from 7am to 7:30pm, 72 hours bi-weekly, with three 12-hour shifts per week and weekend/holiday rotation.

The NICU is a 30-bed unit caring for a wide range of cases, including extremely low birth weight babies. The RN will provide comprehensive patient care, coordinate discharge planning, and participate in ongoing quality and safety initiatives.

Qualificações

• Eligible for or currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Maryland or a compact state.
• Associates degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s degree preferred or obtainable within 5 years of employment.
• BLS certification is required; NRP certification required upon hire or within 90 days of employment; STABLE required.

Responsabilidades

• Assesss the biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, educational and discharge planning of patients according to nursing standards.
• Provides initial assessment and reassessments according to current organizational and department standards for Assessment of Patients and Nursing Assessment and documents according to policy.
• Initiates individualized plan of care using nursing diagnosis based on identified patient needs and includes all available resources (family, caregivers, other disciplines, community agencies).
• Demonstrates leadership and mentoring skills for RNs and ancillary staff; adheres to program policies and participates in orientation.
• Reviews and evaluates intervention effectiveness and documents outcomes; participates in quality improvement activities.
