Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital in Georgia is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join its team. The role involves patient assessments, general and critical care respiratory procedures, neonatal care in Labor and Delivery, blood gas analysis, and equipment management.

The RT collaborates with care teams and educates patients and families. Education required: Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences, and neonatal care experience; licensure: RRT, BCLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences required.
• Experience in neonatal respiratory care required.
• RRT, BCLS, ACLS, NRP and PALS required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and general/critical care respiratory procedures.
• Provide respiratory care for newborns in Labor and Delivery.
• Perform blood gas analysis and interpretation; maintain equipment.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory care.

Required Hours: Weekend Option 7pm-7am

Responsibilities:

Performs patient assessments, general and critical care respiratory care procedures, respiratory care for newborns in Labor and Delivery, blood gas analysis and interpretation, maintenance and management of equipment and patient and family education in both adult and neonatal areas.

Qualifications:

Education

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences Required

Work Experience

• Previous Working Experience in Neonatal Respiratory care, or successful completion of department specific orientation including skills validation of competencies for the duties and responsibilities of this level Required

Licenses and Certifications

• RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care and licensed by the State Board of Medical Examiners Upon Hire Required and
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and
• ACLS Upon Hire Required and
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Upon Hire Required
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Required
