Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to perform patient assessments and deliver respiratory care across adult and neonatal units, including labor and delivery. Responsibilities include blood gas analysis, equipment maintenance, and family education.

The ideal candidate will have an Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences, RRT certification, and applicable BCLS/ACLS/NRP/PALS certifications, with experience in neonatal care.

Qualifications

• Must have an Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences.
• Experience in Neonatal respiratory care or completion of department orientation with demonstrated competencies is required.
• Licenses/certifications: RRT, BCLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS are required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient assessments and respiratory care procedures.
• Delivers respiratory care for adults and neonates, including newborns in Labor and Delivery.
• Maintains and manages equipment and provides family education.

Required Hours: Weekend Option 7pm-7am

Responsibilities:

Performs patient assessments, general and critical care respiratory care procedures, respiratory care for newborns in Labor and Delivery, blood gas analysis and interpretation, maintenance and management of equipment and patient and family education in both adult and neonatal areas.

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences Required

Work Experience

• Previous Working Experience in Neonatal Respiratory care, or successful completion of department specific orientation including skills validation of competencies for the duties and responsibilities of this level Required

Licenses and Certifications

• RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care and licensed by the State Board of Medical Examiners Upon Hire Required and
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and
