Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare is hiring a Respiratory Therapist to provide respiratory care to adult and neonatal patients, including newborns in Labor and Delivery. The role requires performing patient assessments, blood gas analysis, and equipment management, with patient and family education as part of daily duties.

Education includes an Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences. Licensure as an RT (RRT) with BCLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS is required upon hire.

Qualifications

• Work Experience: Neonatal respiratory care experience or completed orientation with validated competencies.
• Licenses/Certifications: RRT, BCLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS required upon hire.

Required Hours: Weekend Option 7pm-7am

Responsibilities:

Performs patient assessments, general and critical care respiratory care procedures, respiratory care for newborns in Labor and Delivery, blood gas analysis and interpretation, maintenance and management of equipment and patient and family education in both adult and neonatal areas.

Qualifications:

Education

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences Required

Work Experience

• Previous Working Experience in Neonatal Respiratory care, or successful completion of department specific orientation including skills validation of competencies for the duties and responsibilities of this level Required

Licenses and Certifications

• RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care and licensed by the State Board of Medical Examiners Upon Hire Required and
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and
• ACLS Upon Hire Required and
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Upon Hire Required
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Required
