Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, OH, is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for NICU weekend night shifts. This 0.75 FTE position averages 30 hours per week with 12-hour night shifts (7p-7:30a).

The role demands expertise in pediatric cardiopulmonary care and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate holds an accredited Respiratory Care credential, is a Registered Respiratory Therapist, and maintains Ohio licensure and BLS.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from a CoARC-accredited Respiratory Care program.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required by NBRC.
• Current Ohio license to practice respiratory care.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• PALS or NRP certification may be required depending on unit.

Responsabilités

• Promotes optimal cardiopulmonary function and health.
• Assesses and educates patients with cardiopulmonary needs and communicates to the care team.
• Provides Respiratory Care under medical direction across the care continuum.
• Develops and implements evidence-based care plans and clinical pathways.
• Accesses unit medication rooms/bedside drawers to administer authorized medications.
