Job summary

Sierra Medical Center, part of Northern Nevada Health System, seeks an experienced RN to provide safe, competent nursing care aligned with facility policies and the patient-centered philosophy. You will lead and support the care team, applying Service Excellence standards while caring for mothers and newborns.

This role emphasizes postpartum education, infant care, and developing personalized care and discharge plans to meet family needs within a high-quality hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
• Current Nevada nursing license.
• Current BLS certificate; NRP within 6 months of hire; STABLE within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Educate and assist new mothers with physical and emotional needs during the postpartum period in the hospital setting.
• Care for the infants and educate mothers about care.
• Constructs and implements the plan of care using nursing knowledge and skill.
• Develops goals, treatment plans, and discharge plans that meet individual patient/family needs.
