Job summary

Sierra Medical Center, part of Northern Nevada Health System, seeks an experienced RN to provide safe, competent nursing care in accordance with facility standards and philosophy. You will lead and support the healthcare team with a patient-centered approach and demonstrate Service Excellence in all interactions.

Responsibilities include postpartum care education, neonatal support, and developing care and discharge plans to meet family needs while adhering to policies and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
• Current Nevada nursing license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate required; NRP within 6 months of hire.
• STABLE within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Educate and assist new mothers with physical and emotional needs during the postpartum period.
• Care for the infants and educate mothers about their care.
• Construct and implement the plan of care using nursing knowledge and skill.
• Develop goals, treatment plans, and discharge plans meeting patient/family needs.

Education

Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program

Current Nevada nursing license

Current BLS certificate

NRP within 6 mo. of hire

STABLE within 6 mo. of hire
