Zusammenfassung

Kaiser Permanente NW is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care in collaboration with the health care team. The RN uses clinical judgment to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for patients and coordinates discharge planning with other departments.

The role requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, Oregon RN license, BLS and NRP at hire, and may include NICU experience or internship. Bilingual Spanish-English preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum nine (9) months of RN experience.
• Or successful completion of the Kaiser Permanente NW RN New Grad Internship program in the NICU.
• Eighteen (18) months NICU experience in the last 5 years.
• Basic Life Support required at hire
• Registered Nurse License (Oregon)
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program required at hire
• Computer keyboarding skills.
• Bilingual Spanish-English (preferred)

Aufgaben

• Performs multi-system assessments including biophysical, psychosocial, environmental and discharge planning needs.
• Identifies deviations from normal on routine lab tests and reassesses patients.
• Develops and documents individualized nursing care plans and teaching plans.
• Delegates tasks based on patient condition and scope of practice.
• Implements care per physician plan and documents in the EMR.
• Initiates measures per protocol in emergencies and educates patients.
• Participates in unit quality assurance activities.
