Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse at Southern Regional Medical Center in Riverdale, GA to deliver safe patient care using the nursing process in the NICU.

The role requires a current state RN license, BLS and NRP on hire, plus one year of acute care experience in nursery/NICU; BSN preferred. Full-time, days shift from 7am to 7pm with full benefits.

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.

Responsibilities

• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment; provide a safe environment for patients and visitors.
• Utilize the chain of command to ensure patient well-being and appropriateness of care to neonates from post delivery stabilization through discharge.
• Provide direct patient care within NICU scope of practice with assistance to neonates.

Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

• The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing.
• Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment. Provides for a safe environment for patients and visitors.
