Job summary

Prime Healthcare seeks a Registered Nurse at Southern Regional Medical Center in Riverdale, GA for the night shift on a full-time basis. The RN will deliver safe patient care using the nursing process and supervise patient and family education in the Medical/Surgical Unit.

The ideal candidate holds an active RN license with BLS and ACLS, has acute care hospital experience, and BSN is preferred. Ventilator management experience is a plus; strong collaboration with physicians is essential.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certification upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current preferred.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice.
• Directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care within the Medical/Surgical Unit.
• Directly responsible and accountable for the care given to assigned patients.
• Communicates with physician about changes in patient’s clinical condition including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
• Able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
