Job summary

Prime Healthcare at Southern Regional Medical Center in Riverdale, GA is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver compassionate, safe patient care across a Medical/Surgical unit using the nursing process.

Key duties include direct patient care, patient/family teaching, and collaboration with physicians; you will promptly respond to changes in patient condition and coordinate care with the care team.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS certification current or upon hire and maintain.
• ACLS certification within 30 days of hire and keep current (preferred).
• Prior acute care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator management experience preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice.
• Directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the Medical/Surgical Unit.
• Directly responsible and accountable for care given to assigned patients.
• Communicates with physician about changes in the patient's clinical condition including monitoring and test results.
• Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.

Location: Southern Regional Medical Center - Riverdale, GA

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

• Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice.
• The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care within the Medical/Surgical Unit.
• The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her assigned patients.
• He / She communicates with physician about changes in the patient's clinical condition including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
• Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. Current and valid state RN License.2. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.3. Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current preferred.4. Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.5. Ventilator Management experience preferred.6. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
