Job summary

Southern Regional Medical Center in Riverdale, GA seeks a Registered Nurse for NICU/Nursery care. The role delivers safe patient care using the nursing process and collaborates with staff to educate families.

Shift is Days, hours 7am–7pm, full-time with comprehensive benefits. Requires active RN license, BLS, NRP, and at least 1 year in acute care or NICU settings.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• NRP (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• One year experience in an acute care setting with experience in nursery or NICU environment.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing.
• Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment. Provides for a safe environment for patients and visitors.
• Utilizes the chain of command when necessary to ensure patient well-being and appropriateness of care to neonates from post delivery stabilization through discharge.
• NICU- Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice with assistance to neonates.
