Job summary

Ochsner Health System in New Orleans is seeking a PEDS/NICU Respiratory Therapist for a full-time role on a 3x12 schedule with day or night options. You will support NICU care, neonatal to geriatric patients, and assist with ventilation and ABG analysis in a new Surgical NICU.

Incentives include a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance. Applicants must hold state RT licensure, NBRC RRT, BLS, ACLS within 90 days; an Associate's Degree is required, Bachelor's preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Care required.
• Current Respiratory Therapist license in the state of practice.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification.
• BLS from American Heart Association; ACLS within 90 days.
• Proficient with Windows-based software and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care, oxygen therapy, and diagnostic testing.
• Deliver ventilation support and manage airway procedures.
• Perform ABG analysis and report results to physicians.
• Educate patients and staff on treatments and care plans.
