Job summary

Stormont Vail HealthCare, Inc. NICU is looking for a Part-time NICU Patient Care Technician to assist with PICC line placement, IV securement, lab draws, and infant feeding preparation. The incumbent will also support the NICU Transport Team and ensure admission rooms are ready.

Qualified candidates have completed first semester in an accredited nursing program or a medical assistant/PCT program, with substitutions allowed for certain certifications. On-site, 24 hours/week.

Qualifications

• Must have completed first semester nursing or an approved medical program.
• Certifications may substitute for formal education as allowed.
• Demonstrates patient care proficiency and safety awareness.
• Able to communicate relevant patient data promptly.

Responsibilities

• Implement care plans with the interdisciplinary team to promote health.
• Communicate pertinent data to the care team in a timely manner.
• Support infection control and standard precautions in patient areas.
• Assist with activities of daily living and vital signs recording.
• Demonstrate caring relationships and uphold ethical practice.
