Job summary

Trinity Health Ann Arbor seeks a Patient Care Tech (PCT) to work in the NICU, supporting newborns with direct patient care under RN supervision. The role includes assisting with ADLs, specimen collection, and IV catheter care in a busy Level III NICU.

Shifts are 7am–7pm or 7pm–7am, with opportunities for full-time, part-time, or contingent/PRN employment. Training is provided, and a HS diploma or equivalent is required along with relevant care experience or credential courses.

Qualifications

• Direct patient care experience or completion of applicable healthcare courses.
• Experience assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Ability to collect and process specimens and manage IV catheter tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under RN supervision.
• Assist patients with ADLs and mobility.
• Collect and send specimens including blood and blood cultures; manage IV catheters as needed.
• Provide neonatal NICU care within a 24-hour Level III unit and support family-centered care.
