Job summary

NYU Langone Health in New York, NY is seeking a Patient Care Technician/Senior Nursing Attendant for the NICU night shift (37.5 hours). You will assist in patient and family care, support unit safety and supplies, and help with data collection for quality improvement. Requires PCT/CNA background and CPR/BLS certification. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• PCT program graduate or CNA with EKG & Phlebotomy training.
• PCT certification eligible or NHA-certified.
• BLS or Heartsaver CPR/AED certification required on entry.

Responsibilities

• Assist the professional nurse in patient and family care tasks.
• Support unit operations, supplies, and environment safety.
• Participate in Quality and Performance Improvement data collection.
• Assist with patient/family communication and education goals.
• Support admission, transfer, and discharge procedures as directed.
• Provide phlebotomy, fingerstick glucose, and ECG support.
• Maintain infection prevention and unit cleanliness standards.
• Answer call lights promptly and fulfill patient requests.
