Job summary
Hartford HealthCare's Hospital of Central Connecticut is seeking a Registered Nurse with Nursing Professional Development expertise to influence learner competency and growth across the system.
The NPD practitioner collaborates with nursing leadership to support education, policy standardization, onboarding and preceptorship of new colleagues, promoting practice excellence and high reliability throughout Hartford HealthCare.
Qualifications
- BSN required and enrolled in a Master's program with degree completion within two years.
- Minimum of 3 years of active clinical nursing experience.
- At least 1 year of experience in an acute care environment.
- NPD or Clinical Specialty Certification within two years of hire.
- BLS required.
Responsibilities
- Support learners within Nursing Professional Development and influence competency growth.
- Collaborate with nursing leadership to foster competency management, education, policy standardization, and onboarding/orientation of new Hartford HealthCare colleagues.
- Promote alignment of regional NPD and practice excellence with the Hartford HealthCare system.
- Demonstrate leadership in education and apply high reliability and LEAN process improvement strategies.
