Job summary

Hartford HealthCare is seeking a Nursing Professional Development Practitioner (RN) to support competency and education in the NICU. The role focuses on onboarding, program development, and evaluation in a dynamic pediatric environment.

The successful candidate will have a BSN, be enrolled in a Master’s program with completion within two years, and provide teaching and leadership to advance clinical education and practice standards within the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

Qualifications

• BSN required and enrolled in a Master’s program with degree completion within two years of hire date.
• Minimum of 3 years of active clinical nursing experience.
• At least 1 year of experience in an acute care environment.
• One year of relevant teaching experience preferred.

• Support learners within the Nursing Professional Development framework.
• Collaborate with nursing leadership to foster competency management.
• Influence clinical nursing education and professional role development.
• Standardize policies and promote collaborative partnerships.
• Engage in scientific inquiry and transition to practice.
• Onboard and orient new Hartford HealthCare colleagues.
• Develop, deliver, and evaluate educational programs.
