Job summary

The position requires a BSN, 3+ years nursing experience, CT RN license, and NPD/Clinical Certification within two years. BLS is also required, with day-shift, full-time hours in Med Education and Development.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• Minimum of 3 years of active clinical nursing experience.
• At least 1 year of experience in an acute care environment or area of specialty.
• Licensed Registered Nurse (CT DPH) obtained prior to hire date.
• NPD or Clinical Specialty Certification within two years of hire/transfer.
• BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Use educational design process and adult learning principles to bridge knowledge and practice gaps.
• Collaborate with nursing leadership to assess learning needs and develop programs.
• Promote professional nursing practice and quality patient care according to ANA standards.
• Advance the profession of nursing by contributing to the professional development of others.
• Utilize tools to capture knowledge, skill, ability judgment, and performance.
• Develop, facilitate, conduct, and evaluate onboarding programs.
• Transform processes using change management strategies to drive desired outcomes.
• Promote scientific inquiry and the use of evidence to improve NPD practice.
