Job description

Elevate your neonatal career as a Nurse Practitioner with a respected hospital offering meaningful clinical impact, collaborative practice, and an exceptional Southern lifestyle!

This Advanced Practice Provider opportunity is ideal for a clinician seeking a mission-driven, patient-first culture known for compassionate care, clinical quality, patient safety, and strong community trust. The hospital supports evidence-based practice, interdisciplinary collaboration, continuing education, and professional growth while providing access to modern clinical resources and complex cases that strengthen specialty expertise. Supportive leadership, clinician input, streamlined care practices, and a focus on staff wellbeing create an environment where advanced practice providers can build rewarding, long-term careers.

Within the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, the Nurse Practitioner will help deliver specialized care to premature and critically ill newborns in a closely coordinated NICU setting. This role offers the rewarding combination of high-acuity neonatal practice, family-centered support, advanced assessment, treatment planning, and collaboration across the infant’s continuum of care. Beyond the unit, team members enjoy proximity to a historic resort village and a premier destination for relaxed, upscale Southern living.

Reporting to designated neonatal and hospital leadership, the Advanced Practice Provider will work alongside neonatologists, physicians, friendly nurses, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, case management professionals, and a diverse healthcare team. Responsibilities may include evaluating neonatal patients, developing and implementing care plans, ordering and interpreting diagnostic studies, performing approved procedures, responding to changes in clinical condition, coordinating consultations, educating families, supporting quality initiatives, and promoting safe transitions of care. Established protocols, specialty consultation, experienced bedside staff, and collaborative leadership provide the support needed to practice confidently and effectively.

The Nurse Practitioner will enjoy living in North Carolina’s Central Sandhills, a region celebrated for pine-lined scenery, mild seasons, renowned golf, equestrian traditions, and easy access to parks, trails, lakes, and outdoor recreation. The area blends peaceful residential communities and varied housing options with locally owned restaurants, shopping, arts, concerts, community festivals, quality schools, and everyday conveniences. Manageable commutes, access to regional healthcare and higher education, a welcoming social environment, and connectivity to larger North Carolina cities make the Central Sandhills attractive to families, professionals, retirees, and anyone seeking more space, natural beauty, and a relaxed pace without sacrificing modern amenities.

This Advanced Practice Provider position offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive suite of health and retirement benefits designed to support personal wellbeing and long-term financial security.
