Job summary

FirstHealth of the Carolinas seeks a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (PRN) to join a collegial neonatal team in Pinehurst, NC. Work in a Level III, 13-bed NICU with a dedicated team including a Neonatologist and another NNP on all day coverage.

You will perform newborn rounding, attend deliveries, stabilize and transport patients to regional nurseries, in a program that includes OB Hospitalists and Maternal Fetal Medicine.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner education program plus national certification.
• Minimum 3 years of NNP experience in a Level III/IV NICU.
• Able to practice independently covering the newborn service.
• Clean background, NC licensure and NRP certification required.

Responsibilities

• Newborn rounding and attending deliveries.
• Stabilize and facilitate transport of patients to/from regional nurseries.
• Collaborate with OB Hospitalists and Maternal Fetal Medicine in a Level III NICU.

• Practice in a Level III, 13-bed NICU.
• Cohesive team of experience providers.
• Responsible for newborn rounding, attending deliveries, stabilizing and facilitating transport of patients to/from regional nurseries.

• 24-hour shifts with a possibility of 12-hour shift schedule.
