Job summary

Endeavor Edward Hospital in Naperville, IL, invites experienced RNs to join a NICU Nurse Transition Program in a Level III unit with 35 beds and family-centered care. The role includes 16 weeks of precepted NICU training and dedicated education time, with nights 7 pm–7:30 am and potential day shifts during transition.

Candidates need an RN license in Illinois, at least 1 year inpatient RN experience, BLS, and NRP within six months. ADN holders must obtain BSN within five years of start date.

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of inpatient RN experience.
NRP certification within six months of start date.
BLS through AHA.
Associate Degree or higher in Nursing; if ADN then BSN within five years.

Responsibilities

Provide professional nursing care under the Illinois Nursing Practice Act and hospital policies.
Train with NICU preceptor for 16 weeks with dedicated education time.
Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care; document observations and progress.
Occasional floating to Peds/PICU, Special Care Nursery and Mother Baby as needed.
