Job summary

PeaceHealth in Springfield, Oregon is seeking a NICU RN for the 36-bed Level III NICU at Sacred Heart Medical Center at Riverbend. This 0.8 FTE night shift position offers 8-hour shifts and a supportive team dedicated to safe, compassionate care for neonates.

The role provides professional nursing care, requires an Oregon RN license and BLS, with NICU experience; BSN preferred. Additional pay for BSN/MSN and specialty certifications, relocation assistance, and a comprehensive benefits package

Qualifications

• Two years RN experience required in critical care with at least one year of Level III NICU experience within last 5 years.
• For RN Residents: Completion of a NICU training program at PeaceHealth may substitute for this experience.
• Prior experience with neonatal ventilation, CPAP, and in-line pressure monitoring.
• Bilingual Spanish is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing direct patient care in compliance with professional practice and unit standards.
• Promotes a collaborative, interdisciplinary approach towards patients, families and all members of the care delivery team.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care needs.
• Documents patient care in the healthcare record according to established standards.
• Directs and delegates care to other team members in accordance with their education, credentials, and demonstrated competence.
