Job summary

PeaceHealth is seeking a part-time Night shift RN for the Cardiac Surgery unit at Sacred Heart Medical Center at Riverbend in Springfield, Oregon. You will care for post-cardiac surgery patients on an 36-bed unit within a level II trauma/STEMI center setting.

Eligible candidates have 1 year of acute care RN experience with cardiac nursing preferred; Oregon RN license and BLS are required, ACLS/NIHSS within six months.

Qualifications

• Requires 1 year RN experience in an acute care hospital with cardiac nursing experience preferred.
• Oregon RN license required.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS and NIHSS certifications required within six months of hire.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care needs.
• Document patient care in the health record per standards.
• Direct and delegate care to other team members as appropriate.
• Maintain professional effectiveness through education and development.
• Contribute to hospital policies, procedures and quality/safety programs.
• Provide stroke patient education using health literacy principles.
