Job summary

Adventist Health Sierra Vista in California is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The role requires current RN licensure in California, BLS, PALS, NRP, and at least 2 years of NICU experience, with Level 3 experience and Epic EMR proficiency.

The position features a night shift from 19:00 to 07:30, rotating days, with voluntary call and a collaborative, family-centered approach to neonatal care.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in state of practice: Required.
• BLS certification: Required.
• PALS certification: Required.
• NRP certification: Required.
• 2 years NICU experience: Required.
• Level 3 NICU experience: Required.
• Epic experience: Required.
• AS degree or equivalent: Required.
• BSN preferred: Optional.
• Previous neonatal transport experience: Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the NICU.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions; implement nursing interventions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to optimize outcomes.
• Educate families about neonatal care and treatment plans.
• Assist in neonatal transport and resuscitation as needed.
• Document all patient care in the electronic medical record.
