Job summary

Adventist Health Sierra Vista in California is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for its Critical Care unit. You will provide direct patient care in a high-acuity setting, monitor patients, administer medications, and collaborate with the care team to implement care plans.

Night shifts are available, with 3x12-hr or 4x12-hr rotations (1900–0730). Candidates must have CA RN license, BLS, ACLS, TNCC within 1 year, NIHSS, and an Associate Degree (Bachelor’s preferred).

Qualifications

• Current RN license in state of practice: Required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification: Required.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) within 1 year of hire: Required.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS): Required.
• High School Education/GED or equivalent: Required.
• Associate Degree (A.A. or A.S.): Required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing: Preferred.
• Passing completion of a Critical Care Nursing course: Required.
• Six months CCU experience: Preferred.
• Epic education: Required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a critical care environment.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes in condition.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families about medical conditions and treatment options.
• Document assessments and interventions accurately.
