Job summary

Adventist Health Sierra Vista seeks a dedicated Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional nursing care for newborns in the NICU. The role emphasizes bedside assessment, medication administration, and coordinating care for both stable and critically ill neonates.

The RN will plan, monitor and educate families, supervise staff, and may float to pediatric units as needed to support the care team. Requires NICU experience and active RN licensure in California.

Qualifications

• Requires Associate Degree in Nursing (A.S.) or equivalent.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• BLS, PALS, NRP certifications required.
• Two years NICU experience required.
• Neonatal transport experience preferred.
• RNC/CCRN certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing interventions for both stable and critically ill neonates.
• Perform medication administration and IV therapy.
• Monitor physiological changes and provide family education.
• Supervise and delegate care to ancillary staff; may float to pediatrics.
• Ensure care is developmentally appropriate for neonates.
